UK STANDARD VISITOR VISA
The UK Standard Visitor Visa is the primary visa type designed for individuals wishing to travel to the United Kingdom for tourism, visiting family, short-term business meetings, attending conferences, or study/courses lasting less than 6 months. Completely independent of the Schengen visa, this application is made directly in English through the UK Government's official portal, GOV.UK.
After the application, your biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) are collected at authorized TLScontact application centers (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir). Results are usually issued within 15 working days (3 weeks). Expedited options such as Priority (5 working days) and Super Priority (24 hours) are available for urgent situations.

Basic Visa Requirements
- Proving that the trip is temporary and you will leave the country before the visa expires
- Proving sufficient financial capacity to cover all expenses (accommodation, transport, living) in the UK
- Showing strong ties to return to Turkey (job, family, property, education, etc.)
Critical Reminders
- Sworn English translation of all supporting documents is mandatory — untranslated documents are not accepted
- Bank statements must cover at least 6 months (Unlike the 3-month rule in Schengen)
- Artificial bulk money deposits significantly increase the risk of refusal
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

- Passport (Valid for at least 6 months after the return date, with at least 2 blank pages)
- Full Certificate of Identity Register (Obtained via E-devlet, with barcode) — With sworn English translation
- Certificate of Residence (Obtained via E-devlet, with barcode) — With sworn English translation
- Bank statement for at least the last 6 months (Stamped and signed) — With sworn English translation
- Printout of the online application form filled out via GOV.UK
- Hotel / Accommodation reservation and round-trip flight ticket (or plan details)
- 1 biometric photograph (35x45 mm, white background, taken within the last 6 months)
