UK WORK VISAS
Following Brexit, the UK ended the free movement agreement and transitioned to a Points-Based System immigration policy. Under this system, foreign nationals wishing to work in the UK must score sufficient points according to specified criteria and, in most cases, obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from a British employer.
Unlike standard visitor visas, work visas grant residency rights in the UK, allow bringing spouses and children as dependants, and open the door to applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after a certain period.

Skilled Worker Visa
For individuals who receive a CoS from a licensed employer in the UK, meet the B1 level English requirement, and have a job offer above the specified minimum salary threshold (2026: £38,700 annually or profession-specific threshold). Grants the right to apply for ILR after 5 years.

Global Talent Visa
Specially for those showing exceptional talent or promise on an international level in science, engineering, humanities, digital technology, or arts. No employer sponsorship is required. Grants the right to apply for ILR after 3 years.

Health and Care Worker Visa
For healthcare professionals who will work in the NHS or approved health organizations in the UK. It is advantageous with lower fees compared to the standard Skilled Worker visa and exemption from the IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge).

To apply for a Skilled Worker Visa, you must score a total of at least 70 points:
Important Note: IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge)
In work visa applications, the UK Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) must be paid in addition to the visa fee. As of 2026, the IHS fee is £1,035 per year. For example, for a 3-year Skilled Worker visa, an additional IHS payment of approximately £3,105 is required. Health and Care Worker Visa holders are exempt from this fee.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

- Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) reference number from the employer
- Passport (Valid with at least 1 blank page)
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent — minimum B1 level, exemptions apply for some professions)
- Proof of financial sufficiency: At least £1,270 must be in your account for a minimum of 28 consecutive days before applying (exempt if the employer covers this in the CoS)
- TB (Tuberculosis) test result — Mandatory for applicants from Turkey
- Criminal Record Certificate — May be required for certain professions
- Diploma/Qualification certificates — With sworn English translations
