US STUDENT VISA (F1/M1)
The F1 Visa is the main type of visa that foreign students who want to go to the United States to attend language school, high school, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral or any academic program must apply for. The M1 Visa is applied for vocational or non-academic training.
The biggest difference in the student visa process is the obligation to register with an educational institution approved by the US government (SEVP), obtain a special document called I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility) from this institution, and clearly prove how all expenses (school fees, accommodation, living expenses, etc.) during the education period will be covered by sponsors or personal accounts.
Basic Steps
- Obtaining acceptance and the "I-20" document from the school
- Paying the I-901 SEVIS (Student Exchange Visitor Information System) Fee ($350)
- Filling out the DS-160 Form and paying the Visa Fee ($185)
